Getting to watch my kids do the things they love, getting to participate in those things with them and learn with them. When they find something they enjoy, it is amazing to be there for them and help them find answers to questions they need answered. When someone tells me how great, or kind, or helpful any of my 3 kids are, my heart darn near explodes.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
These little humans start out needing us for everything. As they grow, they need us less and we somehow need them more. Guiding them as I am able and having them grow into the best human beings they can be is why I strive to be the best dad I can be.
How would you use the $25,000?
Two of mine like to dive with me, I might take them on a dive trip. The third really likes concerts so I might take her to a special show we have to travel to see. I really don't completely know. Maybe a project car for them to work on with me, like I did with my dad, or give some to a group that helps parents serving in the military get home to see their kids.
