Right now the most rewarding moments look like: getting questions like "Dad, what do you think about the most?" from my oldest as I'm telling her goodnight, or my son showing me how to get out of a full mount because I've convinced my wife that signing up for Brazilian Ju jitsu is an absolute must, and hearing my youngest she want's to go on a daddy date soon and wear her princess dress. The kids are at fun ages (9, 7, 5) now and developing into little humans and i wouldn't trade it for anything
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
That's easy but heavy. I lost my father at age 11, so I'm flying blind (I think we all are really) but he did the best with the time he had. It has motivated me to be the best version of myself and cultivate the best relationship I can with my children possible. So I live with this reminder that we really don't know just how long we have and we have to make the most of what we have.
How would you use the $25,000?
Hate to say it, but I'd be vanilla - I've got a shop roof I need to fix, an back porch project that needs done, and a car that needs paid for. I would make sure to get the kids their backyard pallet fort completed too!
