Watching this little person slowly become who they are. Seeing their personality grow, the things they learn, the things they pick up from you without you even realizing it. But I think the most rewarding part is how much being a dad changes you too. You start wanting to be stronger, more patient, more present. Not because someone told you to, but because this little human is watching you and somehow you wanna be someone worth watching. I carry her now, so one day she can carry herself.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because she deserves the best version of me. Not a perfect dad, I dont think that exists. Just a dad who keeps trying, admits when he gets it wrong, learns from it and shows up better tomorrow. She’s learning from me what strength and love look like, how to fail, get back up and keep going. Thats a huge responsibility. One day she’ll walk into this world without my hand in hers. I want everything I taught her while I was holding it to stay with her long after she finally lets go.
