My father taught me that being a father is the most important job I’ll ever have and if I do it well it will be the most rewarding. My 3 children are all adults now and working towards their careers. My oldest son is a MD in residency in St Louis. My middle son is in his last year of pharmacy school at Union University and my youngest daughter is in her third year of medical school at University of Kentucky. By far the most rewarding part of being a father is to watch my children succeed in life
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My father was the greatest example of a father anyone could have. I’ve tried to learn from his example and pass along as much as I could to my children. He always told me that children don’t come with a manual, so you do the best you can with what you’ve learned through the years; I’ve learned a lot from my father. My father is the greatest and I strive to be the best dad I can be hoping that my children grow to respect and love me the way I respect and love my dad.
How would you use the $25,000?
My parents have traveled to 48 of the 50 united states when they first retired. Then several years later they took my three children out west 2 years in a row, hoping to give them an opportunity to learn about our great country. Also, so they could build a lasting relationship with their grandchildren. The only two states that they have not visited is Hawaii and Alaska. I would love to return the favor and take them to Hawaii and Alaska before they are too old to enjoy it. Thanks you!
