I love seeing my kids flourish and overcome obstacles they encounter. It’s really amazing to see their wheels spinning as they work through school work or problems. It’s also rewarding when they talk through things with me and I hear them bring up something I’ve taught them as a possible solution since it shows they listen at least sometimes.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I think any parent strives to be better than their parents were. I try to give my kids the tools to succeed but not always the answers. I also think it’s important to see your kids try and fail at some things as long as they know you are approachable to give some guidance. I try to be patient and listen to my kids but also be stern enough when needed. Mostly I try to be present in their everyday lives. I want to be their friend and for them to know I love and want what’s best for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put $5k into each of my kids savings and use the remainder on a nice vacation for the family.
