Watching my boys become their own people. They’re funny, smart, completely different from each other, and constantly surprising me. After a year of huge changes, seeing them happy, confident and thriving means everything. I love being the person they celebrate with, laugh with, come to when life is hard, or just hang out with. I’m supposed to be raising them into good men, but they’re also making me a better one.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because these two boys are the most important responsibility I’ll ever have. Our family looks different today, but I want them to know that my love and commitment to them never changes. I want to raise kind, confident men who know how deeply they’re loved. I won’t always get it right, but I want them to see a dad who shows up, listens, admits when he’s wrong, keeps learning, and never stops choosing them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d let each of my boys plan a vacation somewhere they’ve always wanted to go. They’d choose the destination and help plan the adventure, giving each of us memories together that will last long after they’re grown. The rest would go toward their futures—college, a first car, or whatever dreams they decide to chase. I want to give them both incredible experiences today while also helping set them up for whatever comes tomorrow.
