Seeing my son grow and learn how to do life. Seeing him explore new ideas and concepts. Shaping a world for him where discovery is safe and adventure is key. When I get home from work him yelling dada and running over for hugs. Knowing I’m his number one play buddy and being able to use play to teach him lessons about how to live life. Being able to teach kindness, toughness, emotion, and love then seeing him reciprocate that.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I have seen firsthand the difference various parenting philosophies have had on people I am close with. I have seen how a present, loving, committed dad shapes the success of their kids. How a good dad gives their kids a safe space to fail and to get back up again, to learn and grow in a safe environment. I want to allow my son to look back on life thankful for the things he has learned as a person, as well as the skills he learned to be successful in life.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would buy a newer safer car for my wife and kids. We are expecting our second baby and I would love nothing more than to provide her a better and safer vehicle to take the kids to dr appointments, and playdates.
