Kids are like mirrors; They’re very quick to emulate everything they see AND hear. When you really pay attention, and actually listen, kids show you everything right and wrong about yourself. What you can do better, what should be changed, or eliminated completely. Family’s working together this way makes the whole unit smarter, stronger, and safer.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Turns out you only have one life to live, so you have to make the most of it every day.Being the best dad I can be, building my boys up with memories and lessons, means that legacy lives on after I can’t anymore. Reminds me a bit of the movie Monsters Inc, when they realize the power of kids isn’t in the scary parts, but in the laughter; that power is unmatched. Life becomes light, and makes you feel like you could live on forever. Even when your back hurts or knees make funny sounds
How would you use the $25,000?
That’s a great question….something that significant would go a long ways to one family. We have four boys and are expecting our first girl in a few months; oldest going to college and youngest soon to be born. Which means the first priority is to expand our home to fit the newest arrival. and I feel some breathing room to allow everyone to enjoy time together; both over the holidays and on our first new adventure with the expanded crew!
