Proud dad moments! We all know kids can be difficult at times, but there are always precious moments. My oldest son's wedding, meeting the woman who stole his heart. My middle son graduating boot camp. All the father daughter dances with my two daughters. My youngest boy got his first solo tackle for a loss last week. The laughs, the adventures, game night, the last second projects, and the jokes. I have stories for days. Being a dad is the hardest and most rewarding thing a man can do.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
When I became a dad, my motivation was to be a better dad than I thought mine was. As the years went on, I learned from men at church, bible studies, and focusing on God's word that I was falling way short. Ever watch a Kendrick brothers film? I never wanted a dad trophy, or the complements, I just wanted them to know my love. Through the years, I've learned as much from the kids as I taught them. I strive now, to show my children the love of their Heavenly Father through me. God Bless!
How would you use the $25,000?
I recently bought an old house. It's a beauty, but she needs some work. I would use the $25,000 to fast track the repairs. My new wife and I have 4 kids at home and my dad. I would love to keep working on the house, and this prize would go a long ways towards the repairs. We always wanted a big old house that all the kids could come to. I'm so excited for Thanksgiving this year, all my children will be home! We may have to smoke 2 turkeys.
