The absolute most rewarding part of being a father is witnessing my children discover, learn, and master new things on a daily basis. Nothing compares to watching that instant spark of joy and realization when a lightbulb goes off in their minds as they figure out a tough concept, solve a tricky problem, or tackle a new challenge completely on their own. Seeing their curiosity grow into real understanding every day brings an unmatched sense of fulfillment that makes every effort worthwhile.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad possible to lead by example and instill essential values like responsibility, resilience, and self-reliance in my kids. My goal is to equip them with the confidence, practical skills, and character they need to navigate independently. Every daily lesson and homeschool is an investment in their future, ensuring they grow into capable, grounded, and compassionate adults who can stand on their own two feet no matter what, especially for my autistic son, Gtiffin.
How would you use the $25,000?
If awarded the $25,000, I will split it between my family and our community. First, I’ll take my kids on our very first camping trip to unplug, learn outdoor skills, and build lifelong memories. The rest will launch a community makerspace equipped with 3D printers and essential tools. Here, kids will learn practical maker skills, design, and hands-on problem-solving. This space will give local youth the tools and confidence to turn ideas into reality, fostering the next generation of builders.
