The most rewarding part about being the father to my girls is knowing I get to help shape how my daughters see themselves, their faith, their family, and the kind of love they should expect in life. I want them to always know that Dad was there. Dad loved them. Dad protected them. Dad believed in them.But I also know they’re watching how I love and respect their mom. I get the opportunity to be an example of what a partner is: someone who respects, supports, protects, and stands by his family.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I know my daughters are watching more than they’re listening. I know I won’t always get it right. Being the best dad doesn’t mean being a perfect dad. It means being present, admitting when I’m wrong, choosing my family over my pride, and continually trying to become the man God has called me to be.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to invest in my family and our future. As a dad, one of the greatest things I can give my wife and daughters is security, stability, and memories together. I’d put a portion toward our family’s financial future, use some to create experiences and memories with my girls that they’ll carry with them as they grow, and find a way to give back and bless another family in our community.
