What is Super Dad?
Learn MoreWhat's the most rewarding part about being a dad?
My children are now 17 & 19 and mentoring them through life has been the most challenging a rewarding experience ever. My son built a motorcycle for a National Autism Charity that was featured at the Harley-Davidson Museum for the 120th anniversary when he was 15. My daughter built her bike when she was 13 and featured on television and won an award from Paul Teutel Sr. of the American Chopper TV show. The reward of teaching the skills and tools to create with their hands is beyond words.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
We only have one life to live and I want this life to impact my children in a way that they feel cared for, loved, and have a Dad that will encourage them when things are tough and give a jumping high five when they achieve their goals! My grandfather built custom motorcycles, my father built custom motorcycles, I build them, and now my kids do it too. We are making our mark on the world by showing our skills in both art and mechanics.
How would you use the $25,000?
We have donated over $150,000 to charities over the past 5 years with motorcycle builds, so charity is dear to our heart. A large portion of this will be donated towards teaching trades and the remainder will be used to take our family on a much needed vacation....the kids choice obviously!
