Watching my son grow into his own person and knowing I get to help shape the man he’ll become. Every lesson, laugh, challenge and small victory means something to me. The greatest reward is earning his trust and knowing he looks to me for guidance. Being his dad gives me a purpose bigger than myself, to lead by example and give him the confidence, values and love to someday stand on his own and lead others.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my son is watching more than he’s listening. I know the way I handle adversity, treat people, work for what I have and care for my family will help shape the man he becomes. I want to lead by example and teach him strength without losing compassion, confidence without arrogance, and that integrity matters when nobody is watching. I won’t always be perfect, but I want him to always know his dad showed up and gave him everything he had.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to create something lasting for my son and our family. Some would go toward his future and education, and some toward experiences we can share together, the kind of memories he’ll carry long after the money is gone. To me, $25,000 isn’t an opportunity to simply buy things; it’s an opportunity to give my son more security, more experiences, and a stronger foundation for whatever path he chooses in life.
