Seeing my kids grow into kind, caring, hardworking, and confident people as they navigate their teenage years and become young adults has been the greatest reward. I’m proud of their accomplishments, but it’s the everyday moments—laughing together, talking about life, watching them support each other, and knowing they still turn to me when they need help—that mean the most.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can because my kids deserve someone who is always there for them, believes in them, and leads by example. I know they learn as much from what I do as from what I say. I want them to see the importance of working hard, treating others with kindness and respect, keeping your word, and admitting when you make a mistake. I’m not a perfect dad, but I want my kids to always know they are loved, supported, and can count on me no matter what.
How would you use the $25,000?
First, I would do something special for my wife—their Mom—because none of this would be possible without her love and support for all of us. I would set aside some of the money for the kids’ college expenses and plan a family trip where we could spend time together and make lasting memories. Then, if there were a little left, I might buy myself a new golf wedge—because I’m sure that will be the one thing that finally fixes my golf game. :)
