The most rewarding part is knowing my son gets a front-row seat to my life while I get one to his. Whether he’s making me laugh, tagging along while I chase this crazy hot-sauce dream, or just reaching for my hand, he reminds me what all the hard work is for. I want him to grow up knowing his dad showed up, made him laugh, chased his dreams, and loved him like crazy. Watching him become his own little person is the greatest reward I could ever ask for.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can because my son is always watching, even when I don’t realize it. I want him to see that life can be hard, plans can change, and dreams can feel far away—but you keep showing up. I want to teach him to work hard, laugh often, chase what excites him, treat people well, and never be afraid to start over. One day he’ll decide what kind of man he wants to be, and knowing my example may help shape that person is the greatest responsibility and privilege of my life.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to create breathing room and build something lasting. I’d pay down debt, invest in growing The Pepper Patch LLC so it can become a real future for my family, and give myself a little room to keep chasing acting and comedy instead of always choosing survival first. Most of all, I’d use it to create more stability and more time with my son. The money would help today, but my goal would be to turn the opportunity into something that changes our tomorrow.
