The most rewarding part to being a Father to my son Xavien, after losing my first born would be his growth! My son Xavien wins the kindness award at school his best friend is disabled and they met while my son defended him from bullies. I watch my son navigate things in his 13 years most grown men couldn't handle. I like to think my constant presence and guidance is what helps him in that process of growth. He has a fight now himself and I will be there the whole way just like with my firstborn.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Why do i strive??? What other option is there? You can't quit even when its hard. Dad's are the only place the buck stops at. Its you Fathers that must build the world and it starts with your children. The hard times we live in is from weak men building it that way. It is up to father's to create good times through whatever hardship is required of that man. I lost my Son and sadly many others in the last 6 years... do I get to stop and cry now? No you dont suck it up make it work its your job!
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the 25k to ensure that my son gets a chance to have the full family I could not give him. I couldn't stop his brother's passing. I couldn't stop the experiences he had after his brother passed... the only thing I can do is work hard everyday and keep building so that he may have the chance to live a life of peace and happiness. That boy will grow to heal so many people I just have to give him everything he needs to be successful. Words and examples are great but cash makes it work.
