The most rewarding part of being a dad is seeing the smiles on my family’s face on those occasions when we can all be together at a time when no one is going to be late for anything and there’s nothing better to do than spend time together, learning more about each other each and every year. I love my family.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Being a dad is one of the greatest and most rewarding missions of my life. One of my favorite movies, in fact, I used to declare it my favorite movie for years, was Steve Martin’s Father of the Bride (1991). It made me fall in love with the dream of someday being a dad. And, now that I am a dad, I’m far from perfect, like Steve Martin’s character, George Banks, but, hopefully, my heart is in the right place. I love my family and I can’t wait to be together again.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d take my kids to Norway. My dad’s mother was Norwegian. She left Norway during WWII Her house in Norway was bombed. Her family moved to Washington State, where she and two of her sisters married three brothers. I am part of that lineage. My father considers himself a Viking. I do too.
