The most rewarding part about being a dad is knowing that I'm my kids happy and safe space. From big emotions down to a scraped knee I am the first one they go to and I never take it for granted. Knowing that they think I can take away all pain and fix all issues, makes me feel like a real superhero. I never would've thought the smallest of hands wrapped around me saying "I love you daddy" would be the best reward in the world.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
The goal is to break generational curses. My dad's dad wasn't in his life, and while I've had my dad, it's nothing like doing it yourself. Waking up to smiling faces and long hugs when I have to leave for the day to work, are just a few snippets of why I strive to be the dad I am. My kids deserve better, and I give them better each and every day. That's the whole purpose, giving them a better version that what you had and wanted growing up.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put it towards buying a house for my kids! We recently made some pretty big changes and moved states for better opportunities, and our current and biggest goal is saving money to be able to buy a house that the kids can finally call their own.
