Watching my sons grow into young men with dreams of their own is the greatest reward. I love knowing that the lessons I teach today about faith, hard work, resilience and believing in themselves can stay with them long after they leave my home. Being their dad gives me a purpose bigger than myself. My greatest accomplishment won't be what I achieve in life, but what I help them believe they can achieve.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my sons are watching more than they're listening. I want them to see a father who gets back up after setbacks, takes chances, works hard and never stops trying to build a better future for his family. I haven't gotten everything right, but I want my boys to know that being a great father isn't about being perfect, it's about being present, keeping your word and showing up for them again and again.
How would you use the $25,000?
I'd use the $25,000 to create breathing room and opportunity for my family, not simply spend it. I'd strengthen our financial foundation, invest in my sons' education and development, and put a portion toward building additional income for our family's future. Most importantly, I'd use this blessing to give my boys something more valuable than money: an example of how one opportunity, handled wisely, can change a family's trajectory.
