The most rewarding part is quite literally just being a dad. Being able to 'right the wrongs' of what I may feel my father did or did not do and be a better version of an already good father. And I get movie night buddy!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be. I only get to see my son some of the time because I am fighting for custody, so when I do get to spend time with him, I feel like I have to teach him (even at the age of 5) how to be a man who can control his emotions, but also create a space for him to be vulnerable and in tune with those same emotions.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the money to pay off most of my child support arrears that I acquired while I was not working, transitioning to Atlanta from Maryland to be in my son's life full-time. I would also use the money to decorate his room with a Spider-Man, Minions, or dinosaur theme. Also, my son does not like my truck because it's beat up, so I would either get it fixed and painted so that he thinks its a new truck.
