Giving love and getting it back bigger. The love I feel from my kids is unlike anything I have ever experienced. That love keeps me going. It increases my capacity to love my family, the community, and people around me. Holding my children for the first time was life changing, it was electric. Seeing my kids smile and laugh while having fun is true joy. I didn't know what happiness was before I had them. I pray everyone gets a chance to experience that.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to set the example! In order to be the best dad, you have to strive to be the best example. I encourage my son to be the man i strive to be, and I encourage my daughters to marry a man that carries the same values as I do. Life can be very challenging, but you keep going. Not every day is going to be your best day, what matters is the relentless will to keep going. My kids will only get one dad, I owe them the best version of myself, I strive to be that person everyday.
How would you use the $25,000?
I don't get to spend a lot of time with my family. I work 12+ hours a day. I am grateful for the ability to be able to work, but that means that I don't get to spend as much time as I would like with my family. This money would be spent having quality time with my amazing three kids, loving wife, and creating memories that my kids will carry into their adult years. We would also catch up on bills that have accumulated during harder times.
