The most rewarding part about being a dad is knowing that my kids will never have that empty feeling of not having a father. I’m raising all four under my roof. I’ve failed at a lot of things but I’ll never fail at being the best dad I can be.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I grew up being adopted at a young age and of course I never had that feeling of love or support from a father. It hurt my soul seeing my real dad being a father to his other children but gave me up for adoption. It taught me a lot. I told myself growing up that I’ll never ever be that kind of parent. That no matter how hard life gets, I’ll always be the best dad to my child.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the money to buy use our dream home. I’m currently in a 2 bedroom house that I rent. Having four children in such a small house has been a challenge. I don’t mind sleeping on the couch just so they can have the bedrooms. I know that they would love to have their own bedrooms and I’m working every day to make it happen but making minimum wage and living expenses it’s pretty tough to save up for a nice place.
