The most rewarding part about being dad is seeing how the adventures, mishaps, and obstacles my two boys face on a daily basis mold them into who they are and who they will become in the future.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because of the lack of a constant father figure in my life as a boy and a young man. My parents divorced when I was < 2 so I don’t remember much of my father. My grandfather’s weren’t too much in the picture growing up, and when my mom did eventually remarry, they ended up getting divorced as well. I do not want anything similar to happen to my two sons so I strive to keep my family strong, and ensure that I am there everyday for them both.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would do a handful of things with the 25k. I would set aside at least 5 grand for both boys for college or a first car, or to whatever future goal they want. I would take 10 grand and use it for home renovations, whether that’s a long term investment or small fixes here and there. The remaining five would go towards a vacation for the whole family, where we could go visit a national park out west, most likely Yosemite.
