This is a really tough question, the rewards are innumerable. Every day is a reward as a father. I think the best way I could explain this is with an explanation I once had for a friend of mine that was middle aged and wasn't a father. He asked me, at that point in his life what would he be missing out on if he never had a child. My answer was simple and matter of fact. I told him from personal perspective he'd be missing out on everything. Because my reward for being a father is everything.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because it's my responsibility to be just that. If I'm not striving everyday to be the best father I can be then why would I be one? My son's and his mother's well-being are my greatest priority in life. I had an incredible father and as a result the love I have for my son is an extension of the I received. He deserves my best, because he gives me purpose to be my best. He literally makes me a better man, a better husband, a better human. I feel obligated to be an example of caring, complete man
How would you use the $25,000?
I would invest in his present and in his future. I would take a portion of the money and plan a family travel adventure. The remainder would be used as seed money for a long term investment such as a vanguard 500 account that would be available to him in the future. I have worked hard as a blue collar contractor for his entire 17 years. His mother put her career on hold to be a homeschool mom and raise him in what we saw to be a holistic way. As a father I'd like to give him a financial cushion
