It has rewired all the parts of me that needed focus. It has made me more patient, kind, responsible and loving. Having the age gap between my children has shown me how to raise an adult that I’m so proud of and know that in my younger children that the blueprint worked. My youngest child’s disability has shown me a world of compassion and understanding that I didn’t know I had in me. His fight against all the odds has inspired me to never quit, because there are harder challenges out there.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
How could you not? To protect their innocence, make them aware of how hard the world can be and if they just be the best they can be, they can accomplish anything. Life’s not fair, but you have more control over a lot of things. As long as I’m breathing, they will always have my support. In the Army I learned discipline and sacrifice beyond most people, being the best dad is an extension of both those things.
How would you use the $25,000?
Well my son Logan wants a PlayStation 5, my daughter just spent 6k on her dog which I can pay for and my youngest will need more treatment in the future. Invest the rest to secure any emergencies that may arise. I need nothing personally.
