The most rewarding part of being a dad is realizing that my greatest successes in life aren’t the ones I’ve achieved - they’re the qualities I now get to pass on. Watching my kids discover who they are, nurturing their kindness, curiosity, resilience, and confidence, gives me more to live for than I ever imagined. And every day, we get to show the world that two dads can build an incredible family.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids deserve to grow up knowing, without a doubt, that they are deeply loved. I want to give them the best life I can while making sure they always feel safe being exactly who they are. No matter what life brings, I want them to know they can come to me with anything-knowing I’ll listen, love them, and meet them with compassion, not judgment.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would put the entire $25,000 toward my kids’ college funds. There is no greater gift than investing in their future and giving them opportunities to chase whatever dreams they discover along the way. Knowing that this prize could help give them a head start toward the lives they choose to build would mean the world to me.
