There are so many rewarding things it is hard to pick point however I would have to say that it seeing the impact my parenting is having on my kids as they evolve from children to teenagers and beyond. I love the fact that they are respectful of others, caring and appreciative of what they have. I am far from a perfect individual however from the way that my kids are growing and evolving, I l ow that I am a “super dad”. My reward is knowing I am shaping my 3 children to be good people!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Honestly it is probably because when I was growing up, my father was not there for me in the way I try to be there for my kids. He worked hard at a job he disliked so he could provide for our family but he could not be there emotionally for me. I want my kids to know that I will always be there for them - I’m the good times and the bad. When they are playing sports or on stage, I want them to know that they are my first priority and short of an emergency, I will be there for them!!
How would you use the $25,000?
The first thing we would do is go on a family vacation as we have not had one in a bit and I think my family deserves it. There are a few other things we have put off buying for the kids (bike, sports equipment) that we would purchase and the remainder would go into an account to help with their post secondary education which is quickly approaching.
