The most rewarding part of being a dad is getting the chance to watch my son grow up. I get to be there for him. Making him laugh and smile, picking him up when he is down. Looking at his little hands and seeing how big they are now. When he comes home from school and everyday is something new and exciting. Just his smile alone can turn my day from bad to delightful. There’s nothing more I wanted in this life than to be a dad.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My entire life, my father wasn’t there for me. I never had that father figure to guide me. I went through a lot of struggles trying to figure out things myself. It was not easy. So everyday, just showing up and being there is what fuels me to be the best dad I can be. Watching him grow up is something I never had, but because of that, I can be better than what my dad was for me.
How would you use the $25,000?
This is a no brainer. Every penny goes to my son. So he doesn’t have to struggle like I did. Living paycheck to paycheck is so hard. I’ve been putting my money aside for him for seven years now. I want him to be successful. But knowing how my son is, he would want to share it with dad. This kid has a big heart and for only being seven, he’s going to do great things. This money would help out for both of us more than words could ever describe. Eternally grateful we would be.
