The most rewarding part about being a dad is seeing your children succeed and fail. Being there for them after a huge goal, a win, or a game-winning 3 is amazing! But being able to be there when they didn’t play the best or after a loss makes being a dad even better. I get to just “be” with them and help them move toward greatness. I love the inside jokes, the “firsts” we get to experience together, and the random hugs, just because. There’s nothing better than being a dad!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids are worth it. They deserve to have someone in their corner and available for anything they’ll ever need. I love having the opportunity to help them with homework, a project, relationships, fixing a bike chain, or just to hang out. I want to give them the opportunities that I never had so they can thrive in every environment. I want to show them how to live in triumph and failure and how to be there for their friends and our family.
How would you use the $25,000?
We are hopefully starting to build a shop within the next year, and I want to give the kids their own space to hang out and get better at their craft. I want them to have a basketball court, batting cage and pitching machine, and a soccer net to practice their sports, play with me and their siblings, and have the coolest place for their friends to enjoy. I would let them pick how the court is painted so they get to be a part of the experience as well.
