The most rewarding part about being a dad is that I get to have a direct impact on my children’s futures. I have two daughters, 3 and 1 and because I work a unique schedule the majority of time is with them. We get to do everything together, whether it’s museums, parks, or the grocery store I get to help shape how they see the world. I get to ensure they feel loved, confident and strong. At the end of the day when they come up to me and tell me how much they love me, there is no feeling greater.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Having two daughters, it is critical that they grow up seeing what they deserve in a partner. My wife is able to work full time pursuing her career and I want our girls to understanding that’s what they should expect. It is also critical that they know I am always going to be there no matter what the circumstances. The world can be a hard place as we grow up, and I want them to know I will be always there. Getting to set that tone early will ensure they grow up to be confident and happy women.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would like to split it between our girl’s 529 education plans, a family vacation, and money towards a pick up truck. I drive an old small RAV4 which is a challenge with work equipment and car seats. A truck would help a lot! We do not live near any family, so having money to travel would help us be near the people we love.
