For me, it’s watching my kids become their own little people. Seeing their personalities develop, discovering what they’re curious about, and realizing that I get to be there for all those little moments along the way. There’s something pretty incredible about knowing that, in some small way, you’re helping shape the people they’ll become.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because they deserve the best version of me. I want them to grow up knowing they’re loved, supported and that they can always count on me. One of the biggest things I’ve done for myself and for them was quitting drinking, I wanted to be more present and actually be there for all the little moments. I’m not going to get everything right, but I want them to look back one day and know I was there, and that being their dad was something I took seriously.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d invest it in my kids’ future, putting some toward their education and some toward the sports and activities they love. But I’d also use it to give them experiences they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. To me, the greatest value would be creating opportunities and memories that stay with them long after the money is gone.
