The most rewarding part of being a dad is being a role model and always being there for my children. One important part is when I walk through the door they coming running up to me and give me a giant hug with a huge smile. Nothing really beats that and will ever replace that. I get joy out of being there for them and modeling how to ride a bike, use a tool, or how to be a good person. When my actions carry over to them, it brings me so much joy. I love when they are able to learn from me!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I learned a lot from my dad and he taught me those core values of being a good person and caring for others. I lost my dad and know how much I looked up to him and I want to instill those characteristics with my children. I want to have my children learn how to treat others. I want to set them up for success by being a good person and your character can go a long way. Job skills can be learned but being a good person goes further.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the money to take my family on a mini vacation to visit family in Florida. I would also like to put away some money for my children. Westen and Maverick could use it later in life or if they chose college. I would like to complete some projects around the house; cement, landscaping, basement, or put money towards my man cave. I would like to grill/ smoke the finest steaks, ribs and meat!
