The most rewarding part about being a dad is the blessing to know I’m worthy of this great responsibility. I was raised by my grandparents and hope to be just as great to my kids as they were to me. This is how I can honor them and thank God at the same time. Knowing that they look to me as what a person is to be makes me a better man. Anyone can be a father but I take pride in hearing the word dad. They let me know I’m doing just fine and that’s all that matters. Being a dad is the best honor.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I use to want to be the dad that I never had but now I that’s changed. I had great examples of dads but it wasn’t the same as having a purposeful dad around. I want to be the best dad I can be because it’s all about my children’s well being. I know how much better I could have been if someone just took a little more time to understand who I was and could become. This is why I will always be my girls biggest supporter. We get one shot at this so every day counts. We don’t know how many we have.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would definitely use the money as a down payment on some farmland and a home for my daughters and I. I’d also love to help start an organization to help kids learn about nature while being nurtured themselves. I’ve always taught my girls that service is the greatest thing you can do while on this Earth. Love heals all with time so we just wan to spread our love to the rest of the world. This money would be a great seed to grow into a nourishing orchard for communities everywhere.
