The joy I see in their eyes when they see me at pick up from daycare. Watching them overcome adversity or a challenge that’s in front of them. When both my kids are playing with another and can’t wait to include me on the fun. But, the most rewarding is watching my kids use the values I instilled in them in real time. Breaking generational curses is utmost important to me, and they are breaking those curses one day at a time.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
When my wife and I first started trying for children, we were unsuccessful. Miscarriages, doctor appointments, inclusive results, all of it. It felt hopeless. But, I made a career change and life change and next thing you know the blessings started falling my way. Now 4 years later, God has blessed me with two incredible kids who are healthy. God has given my wife and I a blessing of a lifetime. Now, I must pay it forward to give 100% of me to my kids so they end up better than me.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would utilize the money, by putting $10k each into their own 529 plan to prepare for college, trade, beauty school, etc. The remaining $5k will be put into a high yield savings account, and we will use that money towards enhancement programs.
