The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids learn, grow, and become who they were created to be. I don’t just want to teach them “stuff”... I want to be present and be the dad they can always count on. One of the coolest parts of raising seven kids is realizing how much they teach ME and help me grow as a father and a man. I’m incredibly blessed, and of all the titles I carry, DAD and HUSBAND will always mean the most!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I grew up without a father in my life, so I learned early on just how much a dad’s presence matters. I promised myself that if God ever blessed me with children, I would give them what I didn’t have... a father who is present, involved, loving, and always there. I won’t always get it right, but being the best dad I can be isn’t just something I strive for... It’s one of the greatest purposes of my life.
How would you use the $25,000?
With seven kids, $25,000 would be a huge blessing to our family. We’d set some aside for our kids’ future and college, while also investing in much-needed updates to our home. We live on a small farm in Southern Indiana in a house that has been in my wife’s family for over 30 years. This is more than a house to us... It’s home, surrounded by family, memories, and generations of stories we hope to continue with our kids and grandkids.
