Watching my kids figure out who they are and knowing I get a front-row seat. The small moments, a random conversation in the car, them asking my advice on something matter more to me than any accomplishment I’ve had at work. Being the person they trust to be honest with them, even when it’s hard, is the job I take most seriously.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my kids are watching everything, not just what I say. I want them to see that you can work hard, chase your own goals, and still put family first, that it’s not one or the other. I strive to be present, patient, and someone they can always count on, even on the days that are hardest.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d invest it in my kids’ future, education, experiences, and opportunities I want to make sure they have. It would also mean I could ease up a little on the hustle and be even more present for the moments that matter most.
