They teach me something new every day, and being their dad is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for. Seeing their confidence, hearing about their “best day,” and getting those daily hugs reminds me I must be doing something right. Knowing they feel loved, supported, and safe—that they know they’re never alone and can always count on me means everything to me. They know I’ll always show up, love them, and be in their corner.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
The world, and life, are tough. I want my kids to feel ready for whatever comes their way. I hope they grow up feeling mentally and physically strong, confident in their ability to problem-solve, and able to face challenges with an “I’ve got this” attitude. They never have to figure it all out alone - When they don’t feel like they’ve got this, Im always there to help. I want them to see how smart, strong and great they are!
How would you use the $25,000?
I’m a carpenter, coach, and DIYer, so I’d put this to work right away—renovating our family space, especially the kids’ rooms, which seem to get smaller every year. Several much needed electrical upgrades - and with one bathroom, we’re definitely feeling the squeeze. I’d also set aside a portion for their future, investing in their accounts so they have a financial cushion when they eventually grow up and fly the nest.
