The most rewarding part is knowing that my kids are getting the type of dad and childhood that everyone deserves. They are safe to make mistakes, to figure out and feel their emotions, and dream big dreams. They are not burdened with anything they shouldn’t be. They are loved and cared for, played with, given time and attention for quality conversations and anything else they might need. And when they randomly say “Dad, I love you or you’re the best”, that’s all the reward I need.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want my sons to have the kind of dad I needed. I want them to grow up in a healthy home, see a healthy love and honor between their parents, a healthy relationship with a dad who truly cares and is interested in them and wants to help in every way they need.
How would you use the $25,000?
It’s my dream to be able to fully fund retirement accounts for both of my sons. If I can do that now while they are young, they will have a huge step up in life. I want them to be able to retire at a young age and live to live, not live to work. $25,000 would allow me to fully fund both of their retirement accounts for the next three years as well as put money towards making more family memories. I’m realizing these years go by quickly, and we need to make memories the while we can.
