The best part about being a dad is knowing that there’s people in this world who give me a reason to keep becoming a better version of myself. They don’t just look up to me I get to grow alongside them. I get to experience life twice. Once through my own eyes, and again through theirs. Creating new experiences for them and seeing their reactions make every day rewarding. I love it. Being the dad is the coolest adventure I’ve ever been on in my life.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My kids didn’t ask to be here. The least I can do is give them my all. They deserve my best effort. I’m not perfect. But if I reach for perfection I’ll continue to improve as a person and a father. My kids deserve to see what having a real dad feels like, to have someone who believes in and supports them. Challenges them to be better and never gives up on them. I want them to see that no matter what life threw their way. I was always in their corner. I always had their back.
How would you use the $25,000?
$25,000 would allow me a chance to see my daughter in California more. I was told she didn’t exist and later told she did and I’ve crossed this country repeatedly to spend time with her. I’ve been the best father I can be from Florida to Cali but this money would allow me more freedom to fly over more often and spend more time. I’d get my oldest daughter a custom bat for this upcoming softball season. And my son a custom guitar for his band. And the rest would go towards a family trip.
