1. Watching them work thru lifes challenges and seeing how they incorporate lifes lessons taught to them in their decision making. 2. Being able to share in their setbacks and triumphs 3. Watching them grow from tiny little humans into full grown (semi) responsible adults. 4. Knowing they can, if they choose to do so, come to me with any probelm or situation for advice. Or just to sit back and let them vent without judgement.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Becasue at the end of the day, we (their mom and I) are responsible, until they become adults, for leading and directing their lives. I don't agree with the "Do as I do. Not as I say." as how I was raised. I feel we, as parents, should live by the expectations we set for our children by leading as examples of how we feel they should act and conduct their everyday lives. Not doing this, I feel is hypocritical and not conducive to the end picture.
How would you use the $25,000?
1. 2 of my adult children have been struggling financially. They've been following thru best they can on financial commitments. But it's been a strain. I would use part of this to help them catch up on bills they need to come current with. 2. My oldest is having her first baby, my first grandbaby. As such, she wants all the bougieness for my granddaughter, Solara. (a $600 stroller?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???) I intend to assist with some of these. The rest will go into home improvements.
