The most rewarding part of being a dad is being their safe place. I’ve been a Marine, a business owner, and worn a lot of titles in my life, but “Dad” will always be the one I’m most proud of. Whether I’m fixing what’s broken, cheering from the sidelines, giving advice they may not want to hear, or simply showing up, I want my girls to always know one thing: Dad is here. Raising them is my greatest responsibility, privilege, and accomplishment.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my girls are watching—not just what I say, but how I live. As a Marine, I learned the importance of courage, loyalty, and never leaving someone behind. As their dad, I want to show them what those values look like at home: keeping my word, working hard, protecting my family, loving them unconditionally, and always showing up. How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to invest in the place that matters most—our home and family. I’d tackle projects we’ve put off, create an outdoor space where our girls actually want to hang out with us, and put some of it toward their futures. I spend my days fixing things for other people, so having the opportunity to build something special for my own family would mean more than I could put into words. The best part would be doing it together and making memories along the way.
