Getting to watch my little humans slowly become their own person and realizing how much of “Dad” they picked up along the way. As a dad you’re constantly wondering if you’re doing things right, then they’ll randomly say or do something that makes you think “okay, maybe I’m not doing too bad.”
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Recently I was building a chicken coop when my daughter told me how cool it was that I knew how to build things. It took me back to watching my dad fix my car after an accident. I remember thinking, “How does he just know this?” and hoping I could be like that one day. Now my daughter looks at me the same way, while I’m still figuring it out as I go. Man… that hit me. Somewhere along the way, I became my dad. My kids already think I’m this kind of dad, and I strive to be that and more.
How would you use the $25,000?
My kids have huge dreams and I want to use that money to help them reach those dreams. My daughter wants to be a veterinarian and my son wants to be a content creator. And listen, I’m a dad, not a saint. I’m definitely buying myself something too 😂. Their dreams may change a hundred times before they grow up, but whatever they decide, I want to be the dad who says, “Alright, let’s figure out how to make it happen.”
