Being able to teach my sons how to do things that most people don’t get exposed to. Letting them learn alongside of me and watching them be able to be successful with their hands is extremely rewarding. The greatest job title I’ve ever held is dad. I’m truly blessed with great kids. A large portion of fatherhood I was a full time single father with my oldest son who is now 20, and my middle son who is now 14. I was mom and dad full time with full custody of both.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
For one I think that many men are hard on themselves and we are our own worst critics. That I’m sure is a big driving force between all of us Dad‘s as to why we strive to be the best dad that we can be. I’m also sure that many dads strive to be the best dad possible because they may not have had the Dad they wish they had. My father was absolutely wonderful and by no means was he a bad father, but I want to be the father that my children deserve.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would invest some of that money into our house. Our HVAC broke this year and needs to be replaced. I would also pay down my medical bills and credit cards from being in the hospital last year. I’m sure everybody could use any amount of money these days and I would be grateful for any amount not just 25K. Aside from that I would like to donate back to the Church who helped me when I first got out of the hospital.
