Honestly, I think the most rewarding part is the sense of purpose it gives me. Knowing there’s a little person looking up to you and depending on you makes you want to be better every day. And watching a piece of you grow into their own person is something I don’t think you can really put into words. The little “thank yous,” the random “I love yous,” and knowing that, to them, you’re their safe place… that’s the kind of stuff that makes everything worth it.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because we only get one chance at this. I know I won’t always get everything right, but I want to give my daughter a childhood she’ll look back on with nothing but love. No matter where life takes me or how much time passes, I want her to be able to say, “My dad showed up for me. He believed in me. He loved me unconditionally, and he always did his best for me.” Being her dad is one of the biggest responsibilities I’ll ever have, but it’s also the greatest privilege. I strive to be the best dad
How would you use the $25,000?
The first thing I would do is put a meaningful portion into a savings account for my daughter. I want it to help build a foundation for her future. Whether it helps with college, her first car, or simply gives her a head start when she becomes an adult, I want her to benefit from it after the $25k is gone. I’d also use some of it to create memories with her. Money comes and goes, but the experiences we share and the security I can give my daughter both memories she’ll cherish and a better future
