To me the most rewarding part about being a dad is getting to watch my son and daughter become the people they are meant to be. I love teaching construction because I enjoy building things, but being their dad has taught me that the most important thing I'll ever build isn't a house, a project, or a career, it's their lives! I get to teach them, encourage them, challenge them, and hopefully give them the confidence to find their own paths. Being their dad is the greatest gift I've received.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want my son and daughter to know they are loved, supported, and especially believed in. I strive to teach them to work hard, treat people well, believe in themselves, and become good people who make the world a better place. I know I'm not a perfect dad, but I strive to be the best dad I can be, I always try to be present in every aspect of their lives, lead by example, and give them my all!
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use it to create experiences, provide opportunities, and try to build something lasting. In today's day and age of toys, screens, devices, etc, I would prefer to put some towards creating memories by having experiences, traveling, exploring, and doing things together as a family that they will remember for a long time. I would also like to invest in their future by starting a college savings plan for each of them. Hopefully I'd have some left to use to help them find their passions also.
