The most rewarding part about being a dad is sharing life little nuggets to my children, and other young boys and girls who do not have a father figure in their lives. I believe love seeing “proud” moments when showing support and showing up for the little things. It’s a privilege to be a part of their lives through the good times, as well as tough times yeah; and extending the love only a Father could.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive because I know the benefit from it. Growing up without my Father has taught me that there are some good men out there who will fill in the gaps where a Father should be. I strive because I know what it takes to show up, even when everything is falling apart. I strive because I want to be the Dad that I wish I could have experienced with my own dad. Dad Lives Matter!
How would you use the $25,000?
I would more than likely reinvest it back into my bonus college kids, and young adults ministry. Making sure that every need is met, and use what’s available to transform either my backyard or garage into a Dad-oasis. Make room for other Dads to come and refresh and also feel important. As sad as it sounds, Dads are often not appreciated until they’re standing over our coffins. Let’s give our dad their hammers!! And show our appreciation
