Watching my children succeed. It is far more rewarding than any achievements of my own. When I watch my kids shine at sports, or on stage, or in the classroom, it is the best feeling in the world. I recently told my 16yo son that I'm the only man around that wants him to do better than me at everything. That's why I care. That's why I push. The sky is the limit.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I feel a great responsibility to help my children be successful in life. Statistics show that having a even halfway decent father in the home is one of the greatest indicators of success in life. I'm far from perfect, but I always show up. I admit when I'm wrong, apologize and then try to be better. I helped bring these children into the world, and it is my duty to help them be good people.
How would you use the $25,000?
I have one kid in college now and 2 more coming up soon. I would use the money to fund my kids' 529 educations savings plans. They don't have to go to college, but they need education and training in their chosen career fields. I have been trying to have 10k in each of my children's education funds by the time they graduate high school, but I have a lot of kids, and I'm a little behind. I expect them to have scholarships and work for the rest of their expenses.
