The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my kids grow while realizing I’m growing right alongside them. We won’t always get it right, but we learn from our mistakes and face challenges together. Being there for the big moments, the hard days, the wins and the lessons in between has taught me as much as I hope I’ve taught them. Knowing my love, guidance and example can help shape who they become is the greatest reward of all.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I grew up watching my dad and grandparents work hard, sacrifice, and lead by example. I looked up to them, and those memories helped shape the man and father I am today. I want to give my children that same foundation—showing up, working hard, loving them unconditionally, and intentionally creating core memories they’ll carry forever. I hope one day they look back and realize their dad gave them an example worth following.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to create unforgettable core memories with my kids, while also giving back to a program that means so much to me—Newburgh Buddy Ball. I’d love to help provide an upgraded sound system that makes every player feel like a big leaguer when their name is announced and they take the field. My kids are my greatest priority, but showing them the importance of using what we have to create joy and opportunities for others is a memory and lesson I hope stays with them forever.
