Seeing my kids run up to me after a long day at work, getting to spend the weekend with them playing games, watching movies, fooling around on the trampoline. Watching them grow into people so different from who I was and navigate the world while still growing and understanding everything the best way they know how.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I want my kids to be stronger than I was when I was their age, and I also want them to feel loved and appreciated and like they're welcome in our home. I always wanted to get out of my mom's house as soon as I could, and I just want them to never feel like I did growing up.
How would you use the $25,000?
The kids really want to go to the beach, so I'd take them on a vacation, probably to Oregon to meet their moms family, possibly Disneyland. I also have been getting some help from my sister in law, my late wife's sister, and I'd like to pay her back. My sister also needs help taking care of my mom with alzheimers, so I'd give them a large portion. Also some legal fees for my girlfriend, and to prepare for the baby we're expecting in december.
