The most rewarding part about being a dad is having your kids say thank you when they realize everything you have done for them. Now that my two kids have graduated high school they’re starting to realize more why we had limitations on things, didn’t say yes to everything and saw the importance of why we saved to help them with their college education and having them share their gratitude and appreciation makes you feel that you’ve done many things that were hard, but in the end worthwhile.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can because I have seen the impacts to children and families when they have a father that is not present. When you become a dad, there is nothing more important than your children and your family and that is essentially an oath I took as soon as I became a father.
How would you use the $25,000?
I have to say I would use the $25,000 to take the whole family on an amazing vacation to some extremely exotic place that we have not ever had a chance to go to.
